About Us

Industry experts and relationship-builders

Consider us more than your headhunter. We are your partner in building a great team. Our success is your success.

We’re all about building relationships with our clients.

Because we’re in it for the long haul, we’re pretty selective about who we work with. Our clients’ companies are in the top 20% of their industry.

Remedy was founded in 2005. With a combined total of more than 50 years of recruiting and staffing experience, we know firsthand what kind of people your organization needs to succeed.

Our people know your industry because they’ve been there. And we pride ourselves on our ability to understand every one of our clients’ unique businesses.

You should like the people you work with

We’ll save you time and money

We know the time you spend acting as a hiring manager is precious. You’ve got plenty of other tasks to work on.

But a bad hire can cost you tens of thousands of dollars, and weeks or months of lost opportunity. We can save you that time and money.

Just as important, we can make the process enjoyable. After all, you should like the people you work with.

Meet the team

The right people make all the difference here at Remedy, too. We’re as selective in hiring our people as we are in finding the right people for you. Here’s who you’ll be working with.

With a pharmacist dad and recruiter mom, it was only natural for me to combine those two professions. I started recruiting pharmacy professionals in home infusion, long-term care and specialty pharmacy right out of college, and I’ve never looked back. I know this business inside out.

As recruiting manager for one of the first pharmacy-focused recruiting firms in the country, I helped that business grow from a one-client startup to a multi-million-dollar enterprise with a client portfolio of over 100 pharmacies. That’s why I felt confident that Chris Drashner and I could create our own success story – and we have.

As co-founder, I split my time between working with clients and building and mentoring our team of recruiters.
Originally from Southern California, I’ve lived in the Pacific Northwest since graduating from the University of Oregon. I love to travel, read, work out and spend time with my husband and two energetic and adorable sons.

After getting my degree in architecture, I was recruited by my family to work in their headhunting business serving technology start-ups in the Bay Area. What started out as a fun way to make a living became a career and a bit of an obsession.

I moved to Portland in 2002 to help build a healthcare recruiting start-up where I met my future business partner, Erica Rothman. Three years later Erica and I launched The Remedy Group because we saw an opportunity to not only focus more on the emerging specialty pharmacy market but to transform the lives of our clients, candidates, and employees for the better.

While I am still active building new client relationships, much of my time is spent looking for ways to improve our business and our service. As a small business owner I understand how vital it is to hire the right person, and I’m passionate about providing that service to the clients we partner with.

I love Portland and am an avid consumer of its many wonderful foods and beverages. I organize and play in the B.E.L., the most competitive amateur basketball league in Southeast Portland. My wonderful, very patient wife is a social worker who helps make the lives of children better. We have a fantastic son and daughter who are kind, beautiful geniuses.

If you need to fill executive-level positions for health plans, integrated health systems or medical providers – particularly those that deal with regulatory compliance and quality – talk to me.

With a law degree and a master’s in organizational management, I spent more than a decade working in policy and politics both in Massachusetts and Oregon. Healthcare was one of the many issues I was involved with then, so I have a deep network of industry contacts and familiarity with regulatory requirements.

I’ve placed top candidates in positions such as compliance officer, director of regulatory affairs, chief operations officer, chief quality officer, general counsel, VP of corporate strategy, chief medical officer, VP of healthcare operations, VP of service operations, and chief information officer.

I grew up on a 40 foot power boat on the Columbia River and love the outdoors. Before my son was born, I spent a lot more time whitewater rafting. Now my time on the water is limited to an annual salmon fishing trip. Off the water, we have our hands full with our son and 3 dogs. Unless it’s football season, and then my husband is on his own because nothing can tear me away from my Seattle Seahawks.

With a bachelor’s in business management and sales experience in a variety of companies I found my niche in recruiting. I thrive on the challenge of working with businesses and industries that are constantly growing and changing. Specialty pharmacy is one of those industries.

I focus on analyzing your business needs and matching them with the qualifications of only the best candidates who will contribute to your long-term growth. I’ve placed top talent in positions within managed care contracting, trade relations, compliance, sales & business development, specialty pharmacy operations, program development & management, finance, clinical pharmacists and nurses of all levels.
When I’m not working, I love traveling to places I’ve never been before, learning about different cultures and their cuisines. Football is another major passion. Everyone in my family has been a Dallas Cowboys’ fan from the day they started the franchise!

I really enjoy engaging with candidates, discovering what they’re passionate about doing and matching their talents and ambitions with great career opportunities. I’ve been recruiting for several years and am focused on specialty pharmacy, a field I find the most interesting of any I’ve worked in.

My professional background includes positions in customer service, sales, strategic accounts and contract negotiations, which gave me invaluable experience working with engineers, technicians, and all levels of management.

I grew up in a small timber town in Oregon, and I relish the amazing diversity of outdoor and cultural cultural activities that Portland and the surrounding area offers – from hiking and skiing to museums, microbreweries and wine-tasting. For me, there’s nothing that beats having a good time with my wide circle of friends, laughing and enjoying life. In summer time, you’ll find me at the beach in a swimsuit, cocktail in hand!

I’ve been recruiting for 12 years, the last three here at Remedy, finding just the right people for the right positions in Specialty Pharmacy.

I was born and raised in New York City – Queens to be exact – but have been a West Coast resident, mostly California, for a long time. As you might expect from our shared last names, Erica Rothman is my daughter – my pride and joy, along with her two wonderful sons.

Ten years of experience in technology sales taught me all about building strong relationships with clients. My own personal experience as both a cancer survivor and as the daughter of an RN has given me first-hand insight into the world of specialty pharmacy and healthcare.

Here at Remedy, I love matching top notch talent with the positions our clients are looking to fill. I focus on specialty pharmacy.

Originally from eastern Oregon and with a BS from the University of Oregon, I love Portland and everything that makes it “weird” and special: the microbreweries, our amazing park system and the unique music venues. All those activities now take a back seat to my new – and first — baby, an adorable little girl.

Roy Kennedy – Technology and Managed Care Specialist

I’ve been in the recruiting business for more than 10 years, mostly for technical industries. I enjoy recruiting because it’s all about creating and developing relationships. I really like helping people find what they’re looking for – whether it’s a client who needs just the right person for a position, or a candidate searching for just the right position in just the right organization.

I believe in honesty and open communications. I also think that follow-through is critical, so when I say I’ll get something done, I will – and do.

Originally from Sacramento, CA, I moved to Portland 10 years ago. The people, the weather, and all the outdoor activities are terrific – hiking and going to the Oregon Coast, especially to Astoria and Cannon Beach. I enjoy hiking and spending time with family and friends.

Seng Saechao – Medical Device & Innovation Specialist

Before coming to Remedy, I worked for 10+ years in medical device and pharmaceutical sales. I also spent four years working as a research scientist in biotech.

This gives me a lot of empathy as a recruiter. I’ve walked in the shoes of both employer and candidate in the industries I’m now recruiting for. My specialty within medical device is orthopedics and extremities.
More than anything, I want to make the search process comfortable for both clients and candidates. Your satisfaction comes first. I want clients to find the perfect candidate who will help them succeed, and I want candidates to find a position where they can shine and feel fulfilled.

I grew up in Portland then went to college and worked in research in San Francisco. I moved back to Portland 10 years ago. I am into every kind of fishing from bank to boat, but fly fishing on the Deschutes River is my all-time favorite! I also love to cook, and I thoroughly enjoy the food scene here in Portland.
